Dr. Joe A. Baez is a board-certified psychiatrist with expertise in psycho-pharmacology and various types of psychotherapy, specializing in geriatrics and special populations.
Dr. Baez is presently a staff psychiatrist at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital, a major teaching facility in the New York City area. Bronx-Lebanon is affiliated with the Albert Einstein School of Medicine. He also practices at FEGS, the largest not-for-profit health and human service organization in the United States.
Dr. Baez’s practice is located in two convenient Manhattan locations. Early morning, evening, and Saturday appointments are available. Dr. Baez conducts treatment in English or Spanish.
In addition, Dr. Baez has presented at various psychiatric conferences and has been a guest physician appearing on Telemundo's news program.
Education
Dr. Joe A. Baez received his medical degree from the Ponce School of Medicine, an American Accredited Medical School. His residency training was at Montefiore Hospital, affiliated with the Albert Einstein School of Medicine in New York. During that time, Dr. Baez was named Resident of the Year, plus he became the Chief Resident for the Outpatient Psychiatry Department. Dr. Baez also completed a Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine.
